It was a true pleasure meeting with families to discuss your child's growth in Kindergarten during quarter one. We enjoyed conversing with each family and being able to share stories and highlight some of your child's experiences in our classrooms! The amount of commitment, involvement, and caring of your child's education has been absolutely wonderful. We thank you for helping your child with homework, reading each night, asking questions, and being eager to be involved in any way. Your child cannot be successful without you and either can the Kindergarten team!!!
Our field trip will be Wednesday, October 24th to Rocker 7 Family Farm. It will be a wonderful opportunity to have your child learn about seeds, farm animals, sunflowers, pumpkins, honey bees, and corn. Again, you must be fingerprinted to chaperone our field trip and siblings are not allowed. If you are unable to attend the field trip don't fret, there will be another one this year and we promise to give more ample notice. Reading groups will officially begin on Monday, October 29th! If you would like to volunteer please be on the lookout for a signup from your wonderful classroom coordinator. Reading groups are from 7:55 - 8:15. You must have your fingerprints on file to work with children in the classroom and no siblings are allowed during this reading time. We are looking forward to all the growth your child will make as they begin to read! The phonograms we are continuing to practice daily in class are the first 1-26, sh, th, ow, ou, ee, and ar. Please continue to practice daily! We will begin our Pink Spalding notebook next week. Students are very excited to begin writing and reading words! Reminders:
